                                   Dell Quay Sailing Club

                                                      Founded in 1925

DQSC is a friendly, family oriented sailing club with facilities for members such as a bar, lounge area, galley, changing rooms, showers, and sun deck for members and their guests, most activities take place over the weekend but members have access at all times.

Within the Club calendar amongst the sailing events there are regular social events including those dedicated to children. On the water regular training sessions are held including a Junior Week and a full junior racing programme to help members to improve their knowledge and skills.

There is also a very active 'Women On the Water' section known as 'WOW' where an easy introduction to sailing can be found as well as sailing development and improving skills.

Dell Quay also has a number of club boats for free use by members including Lasers, RS Fevas, Toppers, and Wayfarers.

As DQSC is a voluntary club run by the members, to help maintain the facilities and events everyone is asked to do duties during the season, for example galley, bar or safety boat as well as helping out at the maintenance weekends.

The club house and dinghy park are situated in the upper reaches of Chichester Harbour next to the small village of Apuldram , very close to Chichester itself taking only a few minutes by car.  There are berthing spaces for a large number of dinghies and a small number of drying moorings for yachts.

Chichester Harbour covers an area that stretches from Havant to West Wittering and Fishbourne to Hayling Island .  It offers a tidal harbour with a variety of conditions from the calm waters at the top of the channels to more bracing conditions near the heads, with access to the Solent and places beyond - all subject to the tide and wind conditions prevailing.

We hope this introduction has encouraged you to find out more about Dell Quay Sailing Club however, the best way is to come down and see for yourself. Please contact us and someone will be pleased to show you around. We look forward to seeing you soon.
