General Information and House Rules
Opening Hours 1. The Club premises are closed by a time lock from 11pm until 7am every day.
2. Outside these hours the club is open to all members via the key pad.
3. The Club is fully open during all events shown in the programme.
The Bar Normally open at lunchtime on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and for social events. (see Duties)
The Galley Open to coincide with racing. Please note that hygiene regulations require that no-one under the age of 18 is allowed in the galley. (See Duties)
Health and Safety Policy Dell Quay is conscious of its duties and to this end has a Health and Safety Policy in force.  This consists of risk assessments and monitoring of the facilities and structures of the club.
Smoking Policy Dell Quay Sailing Club is a NO SMOKING club.
Workshop and Sail Loft 1. Boats may be left in the workshop by prior booking with the Berthing Secretary and paying in advance.
2. Spars, sails and oars may be kept in the sail loft. Please mark them clearly with the owner's and the boat's names.
3. Any unidentified equipment will be disposed of at the end of the year.
Club Pulling Dinghies Two dinghies are kept on haul offs from the Club landing stage for the use of members. They should be not used for more than 20 minutes and must be returned immediately after use when they should be fully hauled off and the line secured.
Club Sailing Dinghies The club has 2 Wayfarers, 2 lasers, 3 RS Fevas and 3 Toppers for use by members, which can be booked on the form provided in the Club up to one week in advance.
Dogs Are not to be brought onto any part of the Club premises except on a lead and under proper control. Dogs are not permitted in the snug or galley at any time.
Members' Property No members property is to be left permanently in the changing rooms or Club rooms. Any such property will be removed to the sail loft and be disposed of at the end of the season.
Sails and equipment should not be brought into the Club rooms.
Visitors No visitor may be introduced more than 4 times in one season. Whenever a visitor is introduced a full entry MUST be made in the visitors' book.
Children and Babies No area of the Club other than changing rooms or toilets is to be used for attending to toilet needs.
Parents' Responsibility Parents and Guardians of members under the age of 18 are warned that the Club cannot accept responsibility for children or other persons. Accordingly parents and guardians are advised to make their own assessments regarding the abilities and safety of their children or wards and, where necessary, arrange suitable supervision and control at all times, ashore and afloat.
Car Parking No car shall be taken onto the quay except when loading or unloading.
Limited car parking is available in the designated area of the Dinghy Park and for berth holders on their own berths.
Club Committees Meet monthly as follows:

House Committee 2nd Monday at 7.00pm

Cruiser Committee 2nd Friday at 8.00pm

Sailing Committee 2nd Friday at 7.30pm

General Committee 4th Friday at 7.30pm
If members wish to meet a committee member or forward suggestions to improve the running of the Club they are welcome to do so in the snug before meetings.
Members' and Visitors'
Property		 All boats, vehicles, motors, equipment or other articles left or stored in or on any part of the Club property will be at the owner's risk, and the Club will not be responsible for any loss or damage thereto from any cause whatsoever.
Duties
Duty Officer
  In overall charge of the Club and Club activities.
Race Officer
 Responsible for the smooth running of the day's racing programme in accordance with the Race Officer's instructions which are kept in the Race Office. Must be present at the Club one hour before the start of racing.
Safety Boat Helms and Crews
 Responsible to the Race Officer for the efficient manning of the patrol boat(s) including launching and recovery and stowage of gear. Must be present one hour before the start of racing.
Galley Crews
 Should arrive 45 minutes before the start of racing as indicated in the programme and keep the galley open until at least 45 minutes after the end of racing. If racing starts at 9.30am or earlier then galley crews should arrive by the start of racing.
Bar
 Allow yourself enough time to collect the keys and find your way around the stock 10-15mins is ample.
Members are reminded that if they are unable to do duties as allocated it is their responsibility to arrange a replacement or swap with a club member by using Dutyman online. A list of telephone numbers is included in the club booklet to assist members to swap duties. All duty swaps must be updated in the Dutyman system.
